Life Framer's Exhibiton
Life Framer’s Exhibition

Life Framers’ Exhibition Having been encouraged by many of my family and friends to enter competitions, I finally entered the “Life Framers” competition hosted by ‘The Print Space’ company out of East London. I entered in one of my art images of my friend Paul in Richmond Park with the landscape of London behind him. Sadly, I didn’t win the competition, but I did get an honourable mention and an invitation to be included in their annual exhibition in April. So! My image was displayed during the main exhibition at ‘The Printspace Gallery’ in London from April 1st – 22nd 2014. Then there was also be an additional pop up show at Juraplaz, Swizerland – an outdoor road side art space – which was displayed from April 9th – 23rd 2014. If you want to check out any of the other entrants, and find out more about the exhibitions please visit their website at:  www.life-framer.com

Ocean Blue
Ocean Blue

San Diego – Ocean Blue Collection.

Every morning I wake up to the sound of the Pacific waves, and realise just how lucky I am. Living where I do, just off Tourmaline Street in San Diego, my favourite time of day is the early mornings when I can sit on my balcony and watch the surfers play. After growing up in Dubai and spending a great deal of time on the Gulf Sea waves, and later in England where we felt the full force of the erratic unpredictable-ness of the Atlantic, I felt that I had a very good understanding of the ocean and its changing moods. The Pacific Ocean however, I quickly learned, has a completely different character. Never in my life had I seen such deep blue reflective colours, such calm and steady beauty even when we were miles out to sea. In contrast to the Atlantic where you’d stare at the raging waves ready to dash you against the rocks, and somewhere in the back of your mind you’d hear Geoffrey Rush’s pirate voice growl “Here there by monsters”. The Pacific has an eerie watchfulness that gives you the sense that something is brewing beneath its surface, perhaps at the other end of its bodily mass that will ripple with majesty and precision towards you, giving you plenty of time to react as the storm approaches passes and dissipates before returning to is nurturing calm. This collection of images shows my deep fascination with the Pacific and its strange soul. My technique has been to capture its beauty, its colours and majesty using my lenses to create artistic images.
