Richmond Running Festival

Sunday 22nd September 2013

Two of my best friends, Tom Bedford and Jade Parker organised an amazing run called the Richmond Running Festival. After months and months of manic hard work, I have to say, their combined efforts were richly rewarded. The Richmond Running Festival began at 8.30am on Sunday morning with a 10km Run, followed closely by the Half Marathon, in the beautiful setting of Kew Gardens. A carefully selected and beautiful course skirted the park, before guiding the runners along the river Thames, and Richmond town, before ending in the historic Old Deer Park. As the runners finished a blast of music met them, where a host of food, coffee, BBQ, beer and charity stalls awaited them. Not to mention the free T-shirts for everyone who completed a race, and a can of London Pride.

It was an amazing day, and I was fortunate enough to be asked to take the photographs of the event! It was so much fun, and I couldn’t have enjoyed it more. Especially in the afternoon when the kids races were run. Its great to see so many children inspired to run.
